Breaking Bad

Breaking Bad (IMDB link) aired first in 2008. It tells the story of a brilliant chemist who became a chemistry teacher instead of doing something better with his incredible talent. He gets diagnosed with a severe form of  lung cancer which will probably kill him in time, even with treatment. The treatment costs a lot of money – money he doesn’t have as a mere chemistry teacher.

To pay the treatment and provide enough money for his family when he’s gone, he decides to get in touch with an old student of his. Together, they start cooking crystal meth, which is a very pure form of meth that can only be achieved through the use of the best equipment and products. This is of course only the beginning of a chain of problems following one another, where no means stay unused in a – not always successful – attempt to solve them.

Conclusion: I have watched all 4 available seasons, and this is by far one of the best TV shows that I have ever seen. Every episode you watch makes you want to watch the next one instantly. Each of the seasons has a magnificent season final. And there’s more: the 5th season is going to air somewhere half of July! I cannot wait!
